I look for sustainably sourced seafood to know if it’s ‘safe’ to eat. You can check the Marine Conservation Society ‘Good Fish Guide’ if you are interested in knowing more about what fish are considered best choice or which fish to avoid:
There are also now concerns that we are also ingesting these micro plastics and other associated chemicals, which may have negative consequences on our health if we ingest a lot. So I’d suggest that fish is becoming more dangerous to eat. But more research is needed to know for sure. I’m vegan, so I get all my nutrients and vitamins through plants!
