Thank you for your question! There are so many interesting facts about climate change. As I work on Antarctic biology, I’ll share one related to that region. There’s an enormous ice sheet on the Western side of Antarctica- called the Thwaites glacier, and if it continues melting at the current rate, global sea levels will rise by three metres! That’s a huge increase and will cause lots of flooding around the world and destruction of habitats.
Here’s a video about the glacier:
Lots of scientists in Antarctica also drill into the ice to collect long ice cores. They do various bits of chemical analyses on these cores and it can give them a picture of what climate used to be like thousands/millions of years ago. Scientists have found that although the Earth’s climate has varied throughout history, it’s warming at a faster rate now than it ever has. And we know that it’s been primarily caused by humans burning fossil fuels.
Here’s a video about ice cores:

I’m amazed that we can put all the science we know about the Earth and how it works (like Octavia’s science), turn that into maths and put it into computer programmes to make a virtual model of the Earth. From that we can work out how the climate is changing and what the future could look like. Here’s a video:
