This is such a difficult question! I’m going to have to cheat and say my favourite marine animal is probably a species of whale…maybe a humpback, and my favourite land animal is a penguin! I also love insects and jewel beetles are absolutely beautiful. There’s so many to choose from!

I like the Weta – it’s an insect from New Zealand that essentially ‘dies’ every winter and then comes back to life again when it gets warm enough for it!

In terms of land animals, I think orangutans are amazing, although I have never seen them in real life.

As a scuba diver, I have a chance to see marine animals and probably the most spectacular have been very large manta rays.

This is prob one of the hardest questions on here, hahah! Animals are too am amazing to pick just one favourite. Sometime I wish I became a vet so I could work with them all day! But, if you made me pick two, I would say Bumblebess because of how important they are to our eco system and cats becuase I have 2.

Dogs. I grew up with 2 Labradors. I miss their ability to get excited over everything and their general happiness.

I really like Bears, there are 8 species all of which have different characteristics.

They are intelligent creatures and really good for the environment. They are not scavengers but they do eat carcasses which helps keep forests clean. They also eat a lot of fruit and are great at dispersing seeds and making forests fertile, although both of these are done through their poo!. They also hibernate through the winter which seems like a great idea to me.
