Ollie Thomas answered on 16 Nov 2023:
I’m 26. I am a bit older than most of the people at my level as It has taken me longer to do my degree because I had to take time out due to my disability. But age doesn’t really matter, whatever your age or whoever you are you can be a scientist.

Ian McKinley answered on 21 Nov 2023:
I am 69 – so I guess I am one of the dinosaurs in this field. I have been involved in scientific research since 1975 and still find the work fascinating – so, despite the fact that I am supposed to be retired, I still spend much of my time on technical projects. These are mainly in Japan, so I still need to travel quite a lot.
