I always really loved History and English at school, so maybe a historian! I always found Ancient Egypt really fascinating and thought about studying this at university for a short period of time during my GCSEs. I guess that’s somewhat similar to being a scientist because it still involves research and discovering new things!

If I had to choose another job in science, maybe marine archaeology. One of my hobbies is scuba diving, so this seems a good chance to combine work with a lot of fun.
If any job at all was considered, I’d like to work as a science fiction writer, as this is another of my hobbies. However, it is extremely difficult to earn a living as an author, so this would be an option only if I was very rich.

When I was young I really wanted to be an aeroplane pilot or a rock star – but my eyesight became too bad to fly and my guitar skills were never good enough to be a rock star! As a scientist, I think the other area I would be interested in working in would be something using biology, because there are so many amazing things to discover in animal and plant life, both on land and in the water.

Formula 1 driver would be the dream!
I was a volunteer archaeologist for a couple of years, so maybe doing that professionally? Or maybe a mechanic. I really enjoy taking apart and fixing mechanical things, so something to do with cars or bikes would be good.

I have really go into tracing my family history! There is so much information available online and records that you can search. I get a real buzz when I find relatives! I recently discovered that my great grandmother was born in Plymouth, but travelled to several places in the UK and ended up in Wales and then Bristol. I can’t imagine how difficult that was to do with about 7 children then! It is really like research..

For me it would be one of two things. Either something that involves being in the ocean like a diver or something like that (can you imagine how cool it would be to be one of the divers who films things for shows like Blue Planet) Or a pâtissier (fancy baker)

Astronaut. I love science fiction and would love to go into space. How amazing would it be to have a job which less than 700 people have done? Sadly my eye sight is too bad to even consider applying.

Being a full time musician would be pretty cool, I don’t have anywhere enough time for it as I would like to although I’m not sure I would earn enough to make a living!
