      Animals are amazing! They’re so clever and interesting, and often really funny.

      Animals are so different from us and the animal kingdom is so varied and diverse. I have always found them fascinating. My dad got me interested in nature from a very young age. We would always go for long country walks and he’d teach me about the insects and birds we’d see. I also spent a lot of time in different museums…I always found them fascinating and comforting! Animals always interested me…how do birds fly? How do insects survive the winter? Why are butterflies so beautiful? How did we evolve? There is SO MUCH to learn and explore in the animal kingdom! Watching David Attenborough documentaries also really inspired me to study animals. In particular, the Africa and The Frozen Planet series were pivotal in my decision to become a scientist.
