Georgia Brittain answered on 22 Nov 2023:
The job I have now is the first science-related job I have out of university.
After my GCSEs I went on to do A-Levels in Chemistry, Maths and Psychology. Unfortunately, I did not get the grades I had hoped for in these (C,C,D) and had to go through Clearing to get into university.
It worked out great as I loved Keele University where I ended up and was there for 3 years doing a BSc (Bachelor of Science) degree in Chemistry.
When I was coming to the end of my final year at university I realised I enjoyed being in the lab and doing experiments so looked into jobs in research. This job was the first one I interviewed for and happened to get it! It is a difficult job and I have to use my problem-solving skills a lot and I still know I have a lot to learn but it is a good job.
